Featherweight Tugstsogt Nyambayar of Mongolia is all set to rumble Namibian Sakaria Lukas in a 10-rounder special attraction this Saturday, Jan 22, at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The fight, which is promoted by the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) is part of the Russell vs Magsayo battle live on Showtime.

Tugstsogt Nyambayar (12-2, 9 KO’s), who won silver for Mongolia at the 2012 Olympics, has dreams of becoming Featherweight world champion.

The 29-year-old Mongolian fighter turned pro after an extensive amateur career in which he claimed wins over then-undefeated Filipino 🇵🇭Harmonito Dela Torre and former interim champion Oscar Escandon.

Nyambayar earned his 1st world title shot by defeating former champion Claudio Marrero 2 years ago, before losing the championship fight to Gary Russell.

Nyambayar returns to the 126 lbs division after challenging 130-pound Chris Colbert in a July contest that he lost by points.

Meanwhile Namibian Sakaria Lukas (25-1, 17 KOs) steps into the ring looking for his 3rd straight victory to put himself in position to compete for a world title.

A native of Omuthitugwalwani, Namibia, his U.S. debut came in Dec of 2020, when he lost a 10-round decision to Mexican Isaac Avelar.

Lukas, who has fought professionally since 2011, bounced back from the loss by knocking out Mario Macias Orozco in Feb of 2021 before earning a decision win over Marco Antonio Chable last March.

Who will emerge victorious on Fight night, the Mongolian Olympic medallist with dreams of world championship glory?

Or the tough Namibia warrior with fury and power in his fists and dreams of his own?

In the show’s main event, WBC featherweight world champion Gary Russell Jr., defend against his mandatory challenger “El Magnífico” Mark Magsayo.

May the Best Men Win!
