DAVAO CITY – Super featherweight John Vincent “Mulawin” Moralde of Davao City will face Kim Lindog of Bukidnon on March 17 at the Sanman Gym in Gen. Santos City.

The 26-year-old Moralde has erased already his bad experience in the United States wherein he got lost by a technical knockout to Jose Enrique Durantes Vivas of Mexico last Oct. 17, 2020, because he did not have the proper tying of hand bandage.

Moralde went to The Bubble MGM Grand in Las Vegas along with somebody, who was not really a coach or a trainer. Coach Osmiri Fernandez could not come because it was also a promotion by the M & R Promotion in Miami.

Moralde was forced to tie himself before the fight and lost his concentration already.

“Ok naman ko, charge to experience ra mga kapildihan .

Mao jud. (I’m ok, charge to experience losses)” said Moralde (23W-4L-0D, 13KOs).

“Sige lang next time dili nako ma surprise kong mausab to. Ako ra jud maka help sa ko self kung walay coach, (All right, next time I won’t be surprised if I change this. I can only help myself without a coach),” added Moralde,

Right now, Moralde is 5 lbs. over the 140 lbs. weight limit.

“Si Abdulhamid akong ka sparring dri sa Sanman

(Abdulhamid is my sparring here in Sanman)” he said.

Moralde admitted that he was out of focus in his last fight.

“Pero sige lang daghan pa next time. Maning kamot hantod maabot sa top. Wala pako nawalan ug pag asa maski upat na ako lost. But go ahead a lot more next time. Strive hard until it reaches the top. I’ve not lost even I have four already)” said Moralde.

Moralde is planning to renew his visa along with Mike Plania and Romero Duno to be back to the US for they have their own promotion – M & R Boxing Promotion under Laura Ching.

“Sarili na among promotion sa Miami, maka fight na lang mi ug dali (With our own promotion in Miami, we can just fight quickly)” said Moralde.

Moralde said: “Unta dili la magsawa supporta sakoa. Wala pa nahuman ang mission ni Mulawin sa larangan ng boxing. (I hope I don’t just get bored support sakoa. Mulawin’s mission in the field of boxing is not over yet)”.

Lindog (5W-9L-1D, 4KOs), on the other hand, has lost his last fight against Guillaume Lorenzo of France by retirement in the 2nd round last 2019 in Gensan.

He won by TKO in the 3rd round against Charlie Cabilla of Bohol last 2017 in Cagayan de Oro City.

The “Bubble Series” of the Sanman Boxing Promotion has a total of seven fights.
