Hot tip top prospects on the card “Honor on the Mountain” showed great intensity throughout the sole public training session, in the lead up to this Saturday at the Samuel Sammy Coliseum Rodríguez de Aguas Buenas, PR.
In the main event, Yomar Álamo (13-0, 10 KO) of Aguas Buenas, seeks to become the Youth WBC super flyweight champion when he faces Hungarian Zsigmond Vass (13-5, 2 KO’s).
“I`m that confident Aguas Buenas will have a new youth world champion, and this Saturday I will have the crown. This will be the beginning of bigger fights, ” promised Yomar.
This match will be historic, as it will be the first time a WBC Youth World Championship is contested in Puerto Rico.
In the semi-stellar fight, former London 2012 Olympian Jantony Ortiz (7-0, 4 KO’s) from Junuma’s Humacao neighborhood will be contesting for the first title of his pro career when he faces Chilean Robinson Lavinanza (12- 4-1, 4 KO) with the WBC FECARBOX belt in the 118-pound division up for grabs.
Other boxers who will be in action are: John ‘El Terrible’ Bauzá (7-0, 4 KO – 140lbs) from Cataño, Carlos Colón (3-0, 1 KO – 126lbs) from Lares, Antonio ‘El Cacique’ Ortiz 7-1, 3 KO – 140lbs) of Humacao, Yamil Alamo (2-0, 2 KO – 140lbs), Emmanuel Class (2-1 – 147lbs) of Vega Baja, among others.
