THE co-owners of the newly-opened MP-Highland Fitness and Training Camp in Manila are currently visiting their partner Senator-elect Emmanuel “Pacman” Pacquiao at his mansion in General Santos City.
International boxing promoter-manager-matchmaker Brico Santig arrived Sunday to join co-owners Ace and Rene Pacquiao (who is also playing for Pacquiao’s basketball Team Emmanuel in the on-going NBL basketball tournament).
“We just want to personally congratulate him (Pacquiao) for having been elected as Senator in the recent elections,” said Santig.
Santig said that they also had invited the 8-time division champion to grace the formal blessing and opening of MP-Highland Boxing Gym tentatively slated this month.
The MP-Highland Boxing Gym, which is located at the 5th floor of a building fronting the Far Eastern University along Morayta Street corner R. Papa St., has already made its soft opening two months ago.
“Siya dapat ang magka–cut ng ribbon sa formal opening” said Santig.
But Pacquiao was already busy training for his farewell fight and later campaigned for the recent elections.
Meanwhile, MP-Highland also has future plans in boxing including how to help discover new talents for the development of sports.
“We will also give free boxing training to the street children in Manila to provide them hopes and inspiration and to keep them away from drugs and to pursue a better life,” said Rene Pacquiao, president of MP-Highland.
MP-Highland Fitness and Training Camp is open not only for amateur and professional boxers but also for students and fitness enthusiasts. It also offers lessons and training for mixed martial arts and kick boxing.
It also offers group packages especially for students and employees.
