By WBCboxing.com

Jorge “El Niño de Oro” Linares (44-4, 27 KOs), the former World
Boxing Council lightweight champion, returns against Puerto
Rican Abner “Pin” Cotto (23-3, 12 KOs), in a twelve rounder, at Super
lightweight.

It`ll be the main event of the September 29th  edition of Golden
Boy Fight Night at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California, and
broadcast to all the world live on Golden Boy Fight Night
Facebook Page.

Linares is back following his battle against the Ukrainian Vasyl “Hi-Tech”
Lomachenko. Despite having lost, Jorge thrilled with  a great performance and sent
Vasyl to the canvas for the first time in his career. Linares, who seeks to
climb steps in the division of 140 pounds, said:

“I will come back hungrier than ever to show the world that I am still one
of the best fighters pound for pound, I want big fights and the world has
not seen the best of me, with my new coach and my new team, I will improve.

“I can invade successfully  the 140 pounds category. Fans will see a better
Jorge Linares with more determination”.
