The Pride of Pakistan, Muhammad Waseem, is celebrating successfully conquering the WBC flyweight Silver belt.
On July 17, the undefeated Waseem (4-0, 3 KOs) fought former world title contender Filipino, Jeter Oliva (23-6-2, 11 KOs), at the Millennium Seoul Hilton, in Seoul, South Korea.
Waseem showed his consummate boxing skills to dominate the experienced Oliva, during the 12 rounds. The official resuts of the Judges´ card were: 120-112, twice, and 119-113.
What an achievement! As Muhammad Waseem only joined the pro ranks last year. This followed a glittering amateur career. As recently as 2014, he won the silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Scotland!
The WBC is so very proud of the champion Waseem and his promoter, Andy Kim, as they also rejected an invitation to participatein the Rio Olympic Games. Instead he concentrated and focused, in order to brilliantly conquer the Green and Gold… silver belt!
