MUNGUIA VS BALLARD MUTUAL RESPECT, BUT DESIRE FOR VICTORY SATURDAY IN TIJUANA, MÉXICO

Jaime Munguía and D’Mitrius Ballard made it clear that they respect each other above and below the ring.

They even exchanged praise, but also that they are both willing to offer a great fight as they will seek victory with full determination.

Munguía (38-0, 30 ko’s) will defend his WBO Middleweight Intercontinental Championship against Ballard (21-0-1, 13 ko’s) tomorrow Saturday (Sunday morning here in Asia)at Tijuana’s Plaza Monumental in the main event of the evening of boxing presented by Zanfer and Oscar de la Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions.

The broadcast will be live in on Tv Azteca 7, the House of Boxing, and internationally on DAZN and ESPN Knock Out.

Munguía and Ballard met Thursday at the final press conference and agreed that they will offer a great fight.

“I have made a great camp, we have not neglected any detail. Munguía is a great fighter, he is undefeated in 38 fights and has a great punch, but we come to his house in Mexico 🇲🇽 willing to clearly overcome him. I’m taking the int’l title home to the USA with me,” Ballard said.

Munguía assured that it is a great motivation to fight again in his native Tijuana after 4 years, and stated that his preparation and his desire to become world champion again will give him victory.

“We had a great preparation in our concentration in Temoaya, I feel very strong, very fast, there is no problem with the weight and they are going to see a great fight, we are going for the victory and if it is by knockout, the better,” he said.

Also at the conference was the president of Golden Boy Promotions, 🇲🇽🇺🇸Óscar de la Hoya, who expects a spectacular war.

“We have promoted Ballard since his debut, we know him well and we know what he is capable of, and Munguía is a spectacular fighter, with great punch and courage.

The president of Zanfer, Fernando Beltrán, praised the quality of both contenders, and said that he expects a party this Saturday at the famed Plaza Monumental.
