Nagai to defend Japanese female atom title

Japanese female atom champion Kaori Nagai of Kobe will defend her title against Natsuki Tarui of Hamura on April 4 at the Sangyo Shinko Center in Sakai, Osaka, Japan.

It will be the first defense by Nagai (5W-2L-3D, 2KOs), who won it by a majority decision over Momoko Kanda last July 25, 2020, at the Central Gym in Kobe.

Tarui (4W-6L-2D), on the other hand, recently beat Sayo Segawa by a split decision last Oct. 30, 2020, at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

Meanwhile, flyweight Sachiko Kondo will face Kaoru Iga in the supporting bout.

The bubble boxing event is promoted by Masato Yamashita of the Shinsei Promotions.
