Two years after seeing action at the World Series of Fighting, boxer Jujeath Nagaoa along with five other Filipinos are set to see action at the Hainan Ding’an Sports Stadium on Sunday at Combat Fighting Championship’s principal event dubbed Inception.

Nagaoa’s impressive three victories with no defeats is to be meted out against Thailand’s Kannika Bangnara who will debut inside the Mixed Martial Arts arena. The 31-year old Natonin native had last seen action in MMA in Manila two years ago and fought three more boxing fights though all three were unsuccessful as she yielded to Nao Ikeyama for the WIBA minimum weight title.

“It’s been two years since my last octagon fight, I stayed in shape and I am in high spirits for this title bout” averred Nagaoa.

Team mates Biondi Dayangadang who yields a 4-2-0 professional MMA record and

who will see action in his MMA debut are set to square off against China’s Cao Ren Jie who boasts a similar record to Dayangadang and Hongkong’s Sasha Palatnikov who has had two fights respectively. South Korean native Seongjin Chun who had been training at the Highland Gym in Benguet for almost a year is also set to prove his striking skills against Malaysia’s Asokdas Mas in his pro-MMA debut fight.

On the distaff side, Kathleen Papti-e who had turned pro-boxer recently is all hyped up for her MMA debut as she is set for a slugfest against China’s veteran Dong Huaxang who is said to have more than 12 MMA fights in the 52kg division.

“I’m quite nervous, but I will bank on my striking skills in this fight. I’m skeptical, but I will give my best” said Papti-e.

All five will banner the country’s pride as the event features warriors from Thailand, Hongkong, Malaysia, China, France, South Korea and the Philippines.
