NAKATAMI TKOS SERMONA IN 4TH ROUND TO RETAIN OPBF LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE

MASAYOSHI Nakatami stopped Filipino challenger Ryan “The Crusher” Sermona via a 4th round technical knockout to retain his Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) lightweight title at the Shimazu Arena in Kyoto, Japan.
The 28-year old Nakatami twice downed Sermona in the third round before he finally pummeled to submission the challenger in the fourth canto.
It was Nakatami 8th successful title-defense and his 15th straight win and the 9th knockout.
Sermona, 29, suffered his 9th loss against 20 wins and one draw.
Meanwhile, Daniel Roman kayoed Shun Kobo via a 9th round TKO to capture the WBA world super bantamweight title in the main event.
