Namajunas: Ousting Jedrzejczyk more rewarding than winning UFC title

Everybody has that one jerk at the office who they would rather just forget.

For Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) strawweight champion, Rose Namajunas, it’s former 115-pound titleholder Joanna Jedrzejczyk, who coughed up her crown to the streaking “Thug” in consecutive title fights.

And talked a dumpster full of trash along the way.

“I don’t know if necessarily I get to enjoy the title so much as I get to enjoy thinking about somebody else other than Joanna for however long,” Namajunas told UFC.com. “I’m always enjoying the title as long as I’m blessed to have it in my possession. That’s going to be an everyday thing. Maybe one day me and Joanna’s storylines will meet up again, but it’s nice to not have to think about her for a second.”

With Jedrzejczyk headed to flyweight, Namajunas will probably be thinking about Jessica Andrade for her next fight.

That’s because “Bate Estaca” is coming off a violent, first-round knockout victory over former title contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC 228 back in September. The win marked her third in a row and leaves the Brazilian at 6-1 since dropping to strawweight.

Early predictions for Namajunas vs. Andrade?
