The WBO’s Omar Narvaez and Nikolay Potapov ‘s top two-rated bantamweight contenders Omar Narvaez and Nikolay Potapov (17-0-1) will square off in a final elimination bout to determine the mandatory challenger to current champion Zolani Tete. Potapov (pictured) is Russian born but trains in New York. Narvaez (46-2-2) is a 2000 Olympian from Argentina. He had long WBO title reigns at 112 and 115 pounds but is now 41 years old. The Narvaez-Potapov bout will take place on September 22nd in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
