By WBCboxing.com

Luis “Pantera” Nery successfully returned to the ring, overwhelming  Jason Canoy via TKO in the third round in Tijuana, Mexico.

“Pantera” Nery had ample hands on command of the battle from the first bell.  He managed to send his opponent to the canvas in the first and third round, after Canoy got up only to receive yet more blistering punishment, Referee Jesus Becerra, promptly stepped in to the end of the fight.

Luis hasn`t  fought since March 2018, when he again took on the legendary Japanese champion, Shinsuke Yamanaka in a rematch duel, although he lost the WBC bantamweight title on the scale because he failed to be inside the weight division limit during the official weigh-in.

After having completed a period of suspension, Luis Nery proved that he is ready to correct his mistakes, work hard and again be able to make history in Mexican boxing.

Luis Nery is 23 years old, holds a professional record of 27 wins with 23 KO’s. His firm intention is to reconquer the ground he lost in order to fight for the world crown in the near future.
