Some people might have sympathy for Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov missing out on the biggest fight of their lives, but Nate Diaz doesn’t appear to be one of them.

Diaz — who himself has not competed since losing a majority decision in a rematch with Conor McGregor at UFC 202 in August 2016 — fired off a tweet Sunday night, seemingly in response to the news of interim lightweight champion Ferguson suffering an injury that forced him out of his title bout vs. Nurmagomedov, which was scheduled for the main event of UFC 223 this coming Saturday.

Lol these guys can’t even make it to war..

The relationship between Diaz and Ferguson isn’t exactly amicable, with Ferguson claiming last year that Diaz was refusing to fight him.

This is the fourth time that Ferguson and Nurmagomedov have been booked to compete, with maladies to both men getting in the way of their previous meetings.

In regards to the news that UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway is stepping in on less than one weeks’ notice to challenge Nurmagomedov in what is still being billed as a lightweight title match despite the absence of both Ferguson and the undisputed champ McGregor, Diaz was unimpressed:
