Nate Diaz shuts down GSP bout: ‘Fight yourself, cheater’

UFC president Dana White might be interested in booking a lightweight matchup between Georges St-Pierre and Nate Diaz, but the younger Diaz brother seemingly has no interest in the bout, telling fans on social media that he refuses to fight a ‘cheater’ of GSP’s caliber.

Diaz, a former UFC lightweight title challenger, accused St-Pierre of using steroids ahead of his welterweight title defense against older brother Nick Diaz at UFC 158. St-Pierre, however, has tested clean throughout his entire career.

The Stockton local also called out ‘Rush’ for foul play at the UFC 158 weigh-ins, where St-Pierre admitted to hitting the scales 0.4 pounds over the designated 170 lbs. limit.

Diaz, 33, hasn’t fought since his Fight of the Night epic with Conor McGregor at UFC 202. Diaz lost that bout via majority decision, but submitted the Irishman in their original welterweight scrap at UFC 196. The Californian is the only fighter to beat McGregor under the UFC banner, and hasn’t shown any interest in returning to the Octagon for anything less than a trilogy bout with ‘The Notorious’.

St-Pierre, a former UFC welterweight and middleweight champ, vacated the middleweight strap after he was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis last year and decided to step away from the sport. The Canadian fan favorite has yet to confirm or deny the reports of a possible lightweight matchup with Diaz.
