Super welterweight Nath Nwachukwu of Hanno, Saitama beat Shinobu Charlie Hosokawa of Tokyo by a unanimous decision last July 20 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
All three judges scored in favor of Nath – Yuji Fukuchi (76-74), Tetsuya Iida (79-73), and Kazutoshi Yoshida (77-75).
The 23-year-old Nath improved his record to eight wins with one defeat and two draws while Shinobu, 36, suffered his eight setbacks with 12 wins and one draw.
Meanwhile, bantamweight Kazunori Yorimasa settled for a majority draw with Naoki Kabayama in the supporting bout.
The bubble boxing event was promoted by Kentaro Kaneko.
