DAVAO CITY – Orthodox KJ “The Ipugo” Natuplag of Ifugao will make a comeback on July 3 against Jonjon “Wolverine” Estrada of Pasay in Laguna.
The 24-year-old Natuplag last fought against Mikito Nakano of Japan and lost by a TKO in the 3rd round last Nov. 2, 2019, in Korakuen Hall.
“Wala pa nga ako binilangan at nag wave na agad ang referee (I haven’t counted yet and the referee wave immediately)”, said Natuplag.
Natuplag is presently training at the Highlands Boxing Gym in La Trinidad, Benguet.
“Three rounds pa lang ako nag sparring (I’ve only been sparring for three rounds)”, said Natuplag.
“Malakas yung kalaban ko at mag iingat ako kasi heavy puncher tong si Jon Jon Estrada (My opponent is strong and I will be careful because Jon Estrada is a heavy puncher)”, added Natuplag.
He is longing for a fight and have wanted it desperately for this one.
“Mag ensayo ako ng mabuti at sa ngayon wala pa akong idea dyan (I will practice well and so far I have no idea)”, said Natuplag.
Meanwhile, Estrada (11W-8L-1D, 10KOs) has recently suffered a unanimous decision loss to Charly Suarez of Davao del Norte last Feb. 13, 2021, in Paniqui.
