NATUPLAG WINS PBF FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE VIA 7TH ROUND TKO

YOUTHFUL KJ “El Matumbo” Natuplag of Ifugao pummeled to submission former champion Danilo “Pitbull” Pena of Paranaque via a 7th round technical knockout to capture the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) featherweight title last Sunday (Nov. 26) at the CCDC Gym in Buyagan Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet.
It was the main event of the Highland Brawl 2: War in the North promoted by Brico Santig of Highland Boxing and Darwin Miller Dep-ay.
In the main supporting bout, featherweight Jules Victoriano of Baguio scored a unanimous decision against Juanito Paredes of Manila.

Light flyweight Brian Lobetania of La Trinidad stopped comebacking Jayson Nicart of Triple R Boxing Gym-Bacoor City by a 5th round TKO
Enrique Magsalin of Baguio won by a split draw against Romeo Tenorio of Sarangani Province
Super bantamweight Orlandrino Sinaloba of La Trinidad won by a majority decision against Bryan Padolina of Triple R Boxing Gym-Bacoor
Super flyweight Kathleen Papti-e of Itogon, Benguet stopped Renalyn Dacquel of Abra by a 1st round TKO
Meanwhile, nine pairs of promising amateur boxers were also featured in the boxing card held in celebration of the Adivay Festival.
Former champion Rey “Boom-Boom” Bautista was one of the guest referee.
