Mexican slugger Luis “Pantera” Nery Knocks Out Filipino Froilan “Sniper” Saludar of the Sanman Gym in 2 Rounds.

It all ended fast. Mexican Luis “Pantera” Nery from Tijuana did not waste any time in beating Pinoy warrior Froilan Saludar over the weekend in Metepec, Mexico. No problems whatsoever for the hard-hitting Mexican, the bearded “Pantera” now thinking on a world title shot in the Super Bantamweight Division.

“Pantera” Nery emerged victorious, entertaining his fans with a fast and furious knockout win. The brave Filipino Froilan Saludar tried, did threw punches, but was stopped by the power of the Mexican in just two episodes July 8 in Mexico.

The win secures for “Pantera” a fight for the world title for the WBC in the 122 pound division.

“Pantera” Nery is currently ranked # 1 in the WBC.

“Pantera” Nery has already been a world champion in the bantamweights and super bantamweights and is trying to reign as a champion again. Could he do it?

That is why winning so convincing over Saludar was really needed for the 28-year-old power fighter, who now puts his record as a professional at 35 fights, 27 of which as won by KO, against 1 loss by knockout.

Fans in Mexico were not surprised that “Pantera” Nery knocked out Froilan Saludar

Wrapped in expectations for what could happen in Metepec, “Pantera” Nery came out against Froilan, with the Mindanao warrior doing well in the first round. It was a chapter in which the Filipino resisted, threw punches and looking comfortable on top of the ring. It was clear that Saludar is an experienced boxer.

But “Pantera” Nery did not take any more study time and in the second frame he came out like a beast, landing so hard on Saludar, finishing the Sanman boxer, who could not find a way to escape the blows thrown by the Mexican.

The referee, noticing that the brave Froilan Saludar could not defend himself, stopped the uneven battle, declaring victory for the Mexican to the applause of local Mexican Fans.

WHAT NEXT: Inoue or Fulton, the next stop for Pantera Nery

If Fulton wins over Inoue (many fans do not think so), the the eventual Fulton vs Nery clash would be in Los Angeles.

But if the thrilling “Monster” Naoya Inoue emerge victorious (many fans think so), the he Inoue vs Nery would go to Japan.
