WBC bantamweight silver champion Luis “Pantera” Nery, closed his preparation in his home city Tijuana, declaring himself in fine fettle for this Saturday, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Pantera” (29-0-0, 23 KO) will defend his WBC Silver crown, against another former world champion, Juan Carlos Payano (21-2-0, 9 KO) on a card that will be televised in Mexico by Azteca 7, starring Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thurman.
After a grueling camp in Puerto Rico, Nery returned to Tijuana and completed the final stage of his preparation, showing the skills that characterize him…namely…power, aggressiveness, consistency and accuracy in his punches. He also showed great speed culminating in marvelous physical condition.
Nery’s avowed intention is to regain the WBC world championship, which is now held by Frenchamn Nordine Oubaali. Nery also seeks to face and fight Japan’s Naoya Inoue.
