Tijuana native Luis “Pantera” Nery will close year with a fight on his continuing road back, seeking absolute title glory once again.
Nery (27-0-0, 21 ko’s) will be defending his World Boxing Council silver championship, fighting Argentinian Carlos Jorge Luis Sardinez (13-1-0, 2 ko’s) on Saturday, December 1, in Coahuila, Mexico.
“Pantera” wants to be WBC bantamweight champion anew, but before all that he must defeat “Baby” Sardínez, a fighter of sound technique and speed, and in only a few professional fights, he captured the the South American championship. He also has plenty of experience as an amateur.
Carlos Jorge, in his most recent fight, overcame Carlos Farías by decision. Luis, on the other hand, has knocked out Jason Camoy in three rounds in October in Tijuana.
