Nica travels to Tokyo to face Kono

WBA Interim super flyweight champion, Luis “El Nica” Concepcion (34-4) left his training camp in Panama City on Monday night to start traveling to Japan. Concepcion will face regular champion Kohei Kono (32-8-1) on August 31 in Tokyo.

“I have studied my opponent since the first day I knew about the fight and we had been working very hard to become the one and only king in my division. I’m traveling on 116, only one pound over the limit as we planned,” Concepcion said.
