This Saturday (March 4th), fast rising German prospect Nina Meinke (4-0) takes on Bosnia’s “Black Panther” Hasna Tukic (9-5) for the vacant WBC Women’s Youth World Super featherweight Championship in Wangen, Germany.
23-year-old Meinke who is trained by former world champion Sven Ottke weighed in at 58.2 kg (128 lbs.) while 21-year-old Tukic touched the scale at 58.9 kg (130 lbs.).
Both fighters are fired up for the big championship bout. “This is a very special moment for me because it is my first title fight as a pro”, said former amateur standout Meinke. “I hope it will be the first of many more to come. I am very happy and proud that I have the chance to fight for the prestigous WBC Youth Championship. This is a special title because you cannot win it at later stages of your career. I want to take it home to start my collection of green and gold belts.”
