World Boxing Council featherweight champion Gary Russell Jr, praises challenger Jojo Diaz, as a hungry young aspirant, but vows that nothing will compel him to desert his lightning and perfectly blended gourmet winning formula.
Gary defends his crown on May 19th, on close to home turf of the MGM National Harbor, Oxon Hill, against Joseph “Jojo” Diaz.
Gary said: “I want to thank Jojo for acknowledging I’m the best fighter in the division. He’s young, hungry, competing against the best, and I take my hat off to him. I would not want less.
“A lay off gives me the opportunity to rest my body and my hands. But I’m now one hundred and ten percent sharp and ready.
“It’s tremendous to be on home turf, as my fans, neighbors, and the mail man can get in their cars and drive twenty minutes down the road to see me fight!”
