Defeatless Great Scot Josh Taylor, who`s mandatory challenger to the WBC Super Lightweight title and simultaneously Silver Champion, will be part of the World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) tournament, confirms Sky Sports News.
Josh has just defeated former world champion, Viktor Postol of Ukraine, by unanimous decision victory, which means he`s been placed in the mandatory place for the WBC’s 140-pound world title.
“I am delighted to have this opportunity to join the competition. It’s a great opportunity for me and a great honor to fight for the Ali Trophy, in honor of the best fighter of all time,” enthuses Josh.
The 27-year-old fighter (13-0, 11 KOs) turned pro in 2015 after a successful amateur career, which culminated with the gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in the lightweight division.
