Six action-packed bouts are expected to wow Martial Arts fans and enthusiasts around the world on August 21 as One Championship brings about the last part of this month’s No Surrender series.
Following the success of the first two No Surrender events on July 31 and August 14, this weekender proves as yet to be another one for the books. Headlined by Sangmanee Klong SuanPluResort against Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai, the main bout is a battle in the Semifinal Bantamweight Muay Thai tournament. Winner of this bout is set to face One World champion Nong-o Gaiyanghadao.
Thai Mongkolpetch Petchyindee Academy would once again test his formidability as he is to face Cambodian Sok Thy in the co-main bout for the Muay Thai Flyweight division.
On the distaff side, Wondergirl Fairtex is set to showcase her boxing skills as she debuts on the One Championship stage against Australian Brooke Farrel. Wondergirl had seen 51 fights under her name whilst it will be the 8th for Farrell. This fight is set in the Strawweight bout.
The female atomweight divisions add up to its roaster atom weights Marie Ruumet of Estonia going against Little Tiger of Japan. Ruumet’s first fight in February 2020 set The Valkyrie on fire as she lost her first professional MMA fight against Ayaka Miyauchi who likewise lost her first One Championship fight in October 2019.
The Mixed Martial Arts world is excited about Thai’s Shannon Wiratchai upcoming fight against French pugilist Fabio Pinca in a Featherweight bout. Wiratchai is coming off a 3-loss streak as he lost a split decision fight in February this year to Filipino Honorio Banario. Pinca’s last fight was a devastating knockout loss at Glory Kickboxing albeit he was on a 3-win streak before the said loss.
Ben Royle of England and Wuitin Thomas of the United States of America will open up the bouts Friday night as they tackle the three-round duel in the Featherweight bout.
One Championship is set to open another 3-series on August 28 called A New Breed, to be followed by its 2nd and 4rd phase on September 11 and 18 respectively.
