According to the news on BoxingScene, popular Filipino former 4-division world champion Nonito Donaire (40-6, 26 KO’s) has unfortunately tested positive for coronavirus covid-19.
Because of that, Nonito will no longer be able to battle Puerto Rican former titlist Emmanuel Rodríguez (19-1, 12 KO’s) for the vacant WBC bantamweight world title on December 19 live on Showtime.
Likely, the fight will be re-scheduled as soon as the WBC # 1 ranked Nonito has fully recovered and is again strong and fit to rumble.
