Miguel “Mickey” Román is one hundred percent focused on his next commitment, vowing there’ll be NO slip up!
He’s staking his status as official challenger to the super featherweight title of the World Boxing Council, by fighting Colombian Aristides Perez on February 10 at the Josué Nery Santos Municipal Gymnasium in Ciudad Juarez , Chihuahua. And as part of the card, Diana “Bonita” Fernandez faces Noemí “No-No” Bosques in the 112 pounds division.
The international card is a production of Promociones del Pueblo led by Oswaldo Kuchle .
With characteristic Roman dedication Mickey trains in California, while Fernandez works to peak condition in the CDMX with Mauro Ayala.
Mickey has won 45 of his 58 triumphs by knockout, with a 75% KO ratio. He said: “I feel invigorated working here in California, with Rudy. He’s a smart trainer, who speaks to you clearly and knows how to design a strategy. We are one hundred percent and we already close to the weight.”
