Amanda Nunes had no interest in talking about UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko after her historic win at UFC 232.

In the UFC 232 co-main event, Nunes defeated Cris Cyborg in 51 seconds to win the women’s featherweight title and become the first female fighter to hold UFC titles in two divisions at the same time. The event took place Saturday night at The Forum in Inglewood, California. Nunes entered the bout as the women’s bantamweight titleholder.

After the fight at the post-fight press conference, a reporter asked Nunes about a potential trilogy fight against Shevchenko, who beat Joanna Jedrzejczyk for the vacant 125-pound title earlier this month. Nunes beat Shevchenko in a non-title fight nearly three years ago, and a second time in a title defense at UFC 215 in September 2017. The rematch ended in a split decision that many thought should have gone to “Bullet.”

Fast forward to now, Nunes and Shevchenko are champions of three of four women’s divisions in the UFC. That said, Nunes doesn’t seem all that intrigued by a third fight against Shevchenko.

“She had two times. Two times she had,” Nunes said. “Tonight’s not about Valentina.”

After the fight, Nunes was also noncommittal to a rematch against Cyborg. Nunes knocked her out early in the first round, leaving no doubt she is the most skilled and most accomplished women’s MMA fighter of all time.
