“Baby” took the plane from Mexico to Thailand on Monday night and after 26 gruelling hours of flights, which he didn`t fancy, he arrived to a local gym showing his extraordinary physical condition, built, nurtured and developed due to the expert dedicated and meticulous coaching of his father and trainer, Raul “Chamaco“ Lopez.
Not a heavy Baby, as he tipped 49.400 kg. being inside the allowed limit, which is 49.890 kg (5% of the limit´s division). The WBC pre weigh ins have the avowed intention and goal of monitoring the gradual, graduated and safe loss of weight of boxers.
“I have received the tremendous support of so many people, my promoters and the World Boxing Council. It`s been a real slog to get here, so I`m determined to make the very best of the opportunity I`ve worked for. We`ve put in some truly excellent work and preparation. I fully understand it`s not going to be easy, but I will return to Mexico with a positive result,” he promised.
The very accomplished WBC champion is undefeated with a record of 42-0 including 18 KO´s. Maturing Baby`s record is: 23-4. with one draw, and including 12 KO`s.
