Fans were generally blindsided upon the announcement of Floyd Mayweather’s third resurgence from retirement last November. With the rule set unclear at first, Floyd Jr. ended up signing to fight Japanese kickboxer and mixed martial artist Tenshin Nasukawa at Rizin 14 on New Year’s Eve.
As it turned out, the two men agreed to face each other in a “special rules” exhibition boxing match. The result turned out the way many expected it to, with Mayweather coming out on top and cashing in another hefty payday.
Now, Conor McGregor wants in on the action as well. In a recent tweet he posted, “The Notorious” called out Nasukawa for another exhibition match, this time with a more diversified rule set.

McGregor’s fighting future is currently hanging in the balance, as he awaits his sanction for the UFC 229 post-fight brawl in October. He will have to wait until the Nevada Athletic Commission’s next meeting on January 29th.
