OSCAR AIMS TO BE TOP OF THE POPS IN COLOMBIA

Colombian Oscar Escandon  (25-2, 17 KO), who`s the WBC Interim featherweight champion, faces the biggest challenge of his career against absolute world champion Gary Russell Jr. (2-1, 16 KO), this Saturday at the MGM National Harbor, Maryland.

“I am the only Colombian world champion, and my dream is to make boxing  popular in Colombia again” said Oscar.

“I  was not the favorite against Robinson Castellando, but I knew I could beat him. I was capable of doing anything that night. Russell will be in his house, so all  pressure will be on him. I feel calm and very well prepared to get the victory. I am motivated, the work we have done in Las Vegas along with my team has been sensational.”
