Oscar Valdez returns tomorrow

Tomorrow night from the “Bubble” of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, former world champion Oscar Valdez from Mexico, faces the seasoned and experienced Puerto Rican Jayson Vélez, in what will be the main fight of the evening.

Valdez (27-0, 21 KOs) has won three fights since his March 2018 war against Scott Quigg, in which he suffered a jaw injury. Valdez took almost a year off and moved up to super featherweight late last year. In his last fight, on November 30 in Las Vegas, he survived a knockdown in the second round to knock out Adam López in the seventh round.

Vélez (29-6-1, 21 KOs), from Juncos, Puerto Rico, has extensive experience against quality rivals including Evgeny Gradovich, Juan Manuel López, Jaime Arboleda, Ronny Rios, and Joseph Diaz. Jayson has never been knocked out in his career which spans nearly 13 years.
