ILIGAN CITY (Oct. 15) – Promising Jerald “Predator” Paclar maintained his composure against a strong start by Mike Kinaadman to score technical knockout in the 5th round and capture the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) light flyweight title on Sunday night at the Robinson’s Place here.
Paclar defended himself well against Kinaadman’s attack in the early rounds. Paclar finally unleashed his left-fight combinations on Kinaadman to force referee Andres Manatad Jr. to stop the fight in 2:40 of the 5th round.
The 19-year old Paclar, a native from Quezon, Bukidnon but now fighting for the Iligan-based RCJ Stable, was awarded a golden belt by Vice Mayor Jemar Vera Cruz, who was assisted by lady boxing promoter Clarissa Pacana-Jimenez of RCJ Promotions.
“Kaya man nako iyang kumo mao naghulat lang dyud ko ug tamang timing,” (I can take his punches that’s why I waited for the right timing) said Paclar, who improved his record to 11 wins with six knockouts against four losses and two draws.

Two other fighters from RCJ Stable – Samuel “Silent Assassin” Salva and Kim “Bonecrusher” Actub – also won separate titles in the card dubbed as the “Fist of Fury 2”. (See separate story)
