DAVAO CITY – Sen. Manny “Pac Man” Pacman’s old moves never came back as he lost to Yordenis “54 Milagros” Ugas of Cuba by a unanimous decision in the battle for the World Boxing Association Super World welterweight title at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas last Aug. 21 (Aug 22 Manila).

“His old moves never came back, of course, he’s getting older,” said promoter-manager-matchmaker Brico Santig of Highland Promotions.

Referee-judge Silvestre Abainza, on the other hand, it is time for Pacquiao to retire already.

“It’s really time to retire. He is old. 8th division world champion even maybe 100 years unmatched by Manny Pacquiao,” said Abaiza.

“Manny Pacquiao is just one. It’s time to concentrate on politics),” added Abainza,

Abainza said that Pacquiao should have not fought Ugas since he is younger than him.

“Filipinos love him dearly. He is the only one who has given the honor to the Philippines that no one else can match. That is already imprinted in the hearts of Filipinos for even a thousand years. Manny Pacquiao is in history”, said Abainza.

The 43-year-old Pacquiao suffered his eighth loss against 62 wins with two draws while the 35-year-old Ugas had his 27 wins against four defeats.

Meanwhile, featherweight Mark Magsayo scored a knockout against Julio Ceja of Mexico in the undercard.
