Paddy Pimblett might have turned down an offer from UFC in the past, but the Scouse submission ace said he would consider a new contract from the organization following his viral submission of Alexis Savvidis at Cage Warriors 90.

Appearing on a recent episode of The MMA Hour, “The Baddy” revealed that no offer has been brought forward since Saturday’s win and predicted that his next fight would take place in the Cage Warriors promotion.

“More than likely not,” Pimblett replied when asked if his win over Savvidis would be his last outing under the Cage Warriors banner.

“The UFC haven’t come in with a fresh offer, so we’ll see what happens. If they do, we would consider it obviously, but for now it looks like I’ll be fighting on Cage Warriors again. I probably want to get another fight in quite soon, but we’ll see what happens.”

Although Pimblett seems content to stay with Cage Warriors, he does see the UFC in his future.

“To build a legacy in this sport, a lot of people say you have to go to the UFC to do that. Look at how good Ben Askren is, he doesn’t get talked about as much as he should because he’s never been to the UFC,” he said.

According to Pimblett, the UFC made an effort to gain his signature following his featherweight title capture in 2016, but Cage Warriors offered him a better deal.

Even though he bounced back in the winning column with a spectacular triangle-armbar finish, he isn’t sure if the UFC will make another offer at this time.

“I don’t know, we’ll see, won’t we? Obviously, I’ll go over any contract that gets sent over with my coach and my manager, and if it’s a good offer, then yeah, you’d see me in the UFC wearing those Reebok shorts. But for now, I’m planning on fighting on Cage Warriors soon enough,” he said.

“I’ll be honest, I rather not have the Reebok shorts. I’d rather be wearing my Scramble ones. It’s no good, is it?” he added with a laugh.
