DAVAO CITY — Light flyweight female boxer Jessebelle Pagaduan of
Benguet scored a majority decision over Charimae Salvador of Cagayan de
Oro City last night in one of the exciting bouts of the “Showdown in
Mandaluyong” card.The 34-year old Pagaduan hit more telling blows on the
younger Salvador. The southpaw scored his 12th win with 5 knockout
against 1 loss and 1 draw.It was the 5th win since Pagaduan settled a draw
with defending champion Kumiko Seeser Ikehara of Japan in a battle for the
World Boxing Organization world female minimumweight title.Salvador,
20, on the other hand suffered her third loss against four wins.Meanwhile,
Alie “Demolition Man” Laurel of Gen. Santos City also won by a majority
decision over Lloyd Jardeliza of Marikina in the other bout.The 27-year old
Laurel improved his record to 16 wins with 10 knockouts against 4 losses
and 1 draw. The promoters are Brico Santig of Highland International
Boxing Promotion and Darwin Mller Depay of DMAD Boxing Promotion.
