A night of luxury for the Argentine Alberto Palmetta, World Boxing Association International Welterweight Champion. Under the organization of Payne Series Boxing and Christy Martin, Palmetta won by TKO in the fifth round against Mexican Saul Corral. The event was successfully completed at the Rock Hill Sports Event Center in South Carolina, United States.

Since moving to the United States, Beto has already achieved seven consecutive victories so far and has managed to position himself ninth in the WBA ranking at 147 pounds. “I want big challenges. I want to be world champion,” said Palmetta, who keeps his goal on track with discipline and perseverance.

From the first round, the Argentine showed great determination, cutting the ring to achieve precision in the attack. Everything indicated that the fight would end quickly when Corral was seen kneeling on the canvas. However, the Mexican’s courageousness showed up and the fight went on until the fifth round, when the referee stopped the actions correctly due to the excessive punishment. Thus, Beto achieved 15 victories, with 11 KOs, and only 1 defeat.

On the other hand, the young Olympic medalist, member of the Argentine Team, Mirco Cuello, had a great professional debut. From the first bell, Cuello came out firmly. With speed, he scored the one-two, left uppercut, and a cross with the same hand that left boxer Akihiro Nakamura puzzled and unable to return to the fight. In 53 seconds of the first round, Mirco Cuello scored his first professional victory in the U.S.

The third Argentine representative to enter the ring was the flyweight Lucas Fernandez Leone (12-3-1). Leone faced Mexico’s Fernando Diaz (6-1-1) in six tense rounds, where the judges awarded the victory unanimously to Diaz.
