A daring boxing style raid on the Viking settlement of Bergen, Norway, as WBC super lightweight champion Erica Anabella Farías voyages all the way from Buenas Aires, to audaciously challenge WBC welterweight champion Cecilia Braekhus.
This Tuesday a pre-fight press conference was held, in the build up to one of the supreme fights of the year.
Farias has been super lightweight champion of the World Boxing Council since 2014, when she defeated compatriot Alejandra Oliveras and defended the crown against Klara Svensson, Victoria Noelia Bustos and Marisa Gabriela Núñez.
The 35-year-old Braekhus, born in city of Cartagena, Colombia but brought up in Bergen, has fought in Norway. Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, Finland, Belgium and the United States. She has an impeccable record of 30 fights won and eight knockouts. Her last performance clearly defeated tough Swedish fighter Klara Svensson.
