Undefeated Mexican Luis “Pantera” Nery (31-0, 25 KO’s) defeated by unanimous decision in twelve rounds his compatriot Aaron Alameda (25-1, 13 KO’s) to conquer the vacant WBC super bantamweight world title Saturday at the Mohegan Sun Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut USA.
Even though the tough Alameda won some rounds thanks to his effective jab, neat combinations, and outstanding boxing skills, it was Nery the commanding officer for the battle, dictating the tempo with his more aggressive stance and higher punching volume.
Score were115-113, 116-112, and 118-110, all in favor of the undefeated Luis “Pantera” Nery who claims a world title in a second weigh-class.
Prior to tonight, he had been a Bantamweight Champion, the one man who dethroned and ended the stellar boxing career of Japanese star Shinsuke Yamanaka.
Fans now wait to learn about “Pantera’s” first 122-pound world title defense, and against who.
The exciting 5-world-title show last Saturday at the Mohegan Sun was another excellent promotion of Premier Boxing Champions.
The other winners for the hot evening boxing event were the Charlo Twins, Brandon Figueroa and Johnriel Casimero.
