Former World Boxing Organization Asia Pacific Youth minimumweight champion Robert “Inggo” Paradero of Malaybalay City will fight Vince “J-Vince” Paras of General Santos City on April 26 at the Sanman Gym in General Santos City.

The 25-year-old Paradero hopes to win this fight and possibly earn a world title-shot again. He won the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Youth minimum title by beating Gensan’s Ronie Tanallon last October 28, 2016 in Cagayan de Oro.

“I’m very excited. I want to recover and become world champion,” said Paradero.

He is sparring with former WBA Asia flyweight champion Jeny Boy “Tiger” Boca (14-7-0, 12KOs) of Camiguin and some amateur boxers.

Paradero has recently suffered two straight loses after scoring 18 wins with 12 knockouts. He first lost to Victorio Saludar by a split decision for the vacant WBA World minimum title last February 20, 2021 in Binan.

Paradero then suffered a 5th round technical knockout to Thammanoon Niyomtrong as he retained the WBA super world minimum title last December 14, 2021 in Phuket.

After the fight in Thailand, Paradero immediately went back training at the gym.

He was only informed about Paras lately.

“I will give him a good game,” said Paradero.

Paras, former WBO Asia Pacific Youth light flyweight champion and world title contender, retired Reymark Taday of Cotabato in the 3rd round last February 5, 2022 at the Sanman Gym in Gensan.

Taday suffered a cut on his hairline from an accidental headbutt in Round 3

The boxing event is billed as the “Sanman Bubble IX” and promoted by Sanman Boxing.
