PARAS VS. HAYA FOR VACANT WBO ASIA PACIFIC YOUTH LIGHT FLY TITLE

GENERAL Santos City (June 9) –Unbeaten Vince Paras of General Santos City will face Jimboy Haya for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Youth light flyweight title on Saturday at the Mandaue City Sports Complex.
Paras, who is managed by Maasim Mayor Jojo Lopez of Sarangani Province, is still undefeated with 10 straight wins and nine knockouts. The 18-year old Paras previously scored a first round knockout against Michael Camelion last March 1 at the Barangay Bula covered court in Gensan.
The 22-year old Haya, on the other hand, is toting 10 wins with six knockouts, three losses and two draws. The native from Butilog, Bukidnon won his last fight via a unanimous decision against Ken Jordan on March 8 in Cawayan, Masbate.
Haya, however, dropped a unanimous decision to Vic Saludar in their battle for the vacant WBO Oriental minimumweight title last October 28 in Cagayan de Oro City.
Saludar (14-2-0) is also seeing action in the card promoted by Kenneth Rontal. He is fighting Toto Landero (8-1-2) in the undercard.
Saludar’s elder brother Froilan (24-2-1) is also facing Salatiel Amit (10-2-2) in the card promoted by Kenneth Rontal.
The other pairs are light flyweight Robert Paradero (13-0) against Charlie Malupangue (5-2-3) and super flyweight Casey Morton (4-0-3) against Phannaluk Kongsang.
