Scotland’s Paul Craig will attempt to regain parity to his UFC record when he takes on newcomer Kennedy Nzechukwu on March 30 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Penn.
The UFC announced the light heavyweight clash through its social media channels Wednesday.
Craig (10-3-0) was signed to the UFC after clinching the BAMMA 205-pound title. In his last outing, he suffered a third-round submission loss to promotional debutant Jim Crute at UFC Adelaide. His last win came when he spectacularly submitted Magomed Ankalaev in the last second of their UFC London bout. “Bearjew” is current 2-3 under the UFC banner.
Nzechukwu (6-0-0) is set for his debut in Philadelphia after his knockout win over Dennis Bryant on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. “African Savage” is one of the taller competitors in the light-heavyweight division at 6-foot-5 and has claimed four of his six career wins via stoppage since graduating to the pro ranks in 2016.
