PBF CHAMPS DASMARINAS, ROSAS BEAT RIVALS IN MAKATI


PHILIPPINE Boxing Federation champions Michael “Hot & Spicy” Dasmarinas and Lorence Rosas beat their separate rivals in non-title bouts held Aug. 24 at the Barangay Palanan in Makati City.
Dasmarinas, current PBF bantamweight title holder knocked out Mateo Handig (13W-14L-0D) in the 8th round to improve his record to 26 wins with 18 knockouts and two losses.
The 25-year old Dasmarinas, a former WBC Youth World super flyweight champion, is now scheduled to next fight Indonesian champion Ical Tobida (13-23-1, 8 KOs) on October 20 in Singapore.
Rosas, a native of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, won by a unanimous decision on Danny Tampipi (7-7-2) for his 8th win against only one loss and two draws. Judges Eddie Nobleza and Guadioso Llanera both scored 99-90 while Nowel Haduca gave it 97-92 for Rosas.
