Pennington surprises Rodriguez

In a big upset, super welterweight Courtney Pennington (11-4-1, 5 KOs) hammered out a ten round unanimous decision over Delvin Rodriguez (29-9-4, 16 KOs) on Thursday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Scores were 98-92, 98-92, 97-94.

Undefeated welterweight Daniel Gonzalez (14-0-1, 5 KOs) scored a six round unanimous decision over journeyman Samuel Amoako (21-15, 15 KOs). Gonzalez controlled the action throughout the fight. Amoako lost his eleventh straight fight. Scores were 60-54, 60-54, 60-54.

WBC middleweight champion Kali Reis (11-6-1, 4 KOs) scored a six round majority decision over Ashleigh Curry (7-11-4, 1 KO). Reis battled a tactical fight against Curry. Scores were 57-57, 58-56, 59-55.
