FILIPINO knockout artist Rey Perez and Mexican Christian “Chimpa” Gonzales both pass the weight for their grudge match today at the Fantasy Spring Casino in Indio, California.
Perez submitted 135.6 lbs. while Gonzales tipped the scale at 135.8 lbs.
Perez won by a unanimous decision in their first encounter.
“This time we are looking for a KO. Rey believes there is no way we will win on a decision,” said Rey “Cacoi” Rodis Jr., of RED Boxing Promotion.
Perez has record of 23 wins with 10 losses while Gonzales has 19 wins with 2 losses.
Meanwhile, Recky Dulay tipped the scales at 125 lbs. while Mexican Edgar Ortega submitted 126 lbs. for their own 10-round fight.
Dulay has a 11-3 win-loss card while Ortega has a 9-1 win-loss slate.
Dulay scored a 5th round knockout against Juan Sandoval last Aug. 10 while Ortega is making his debut in the United States.
