Peter Queally and Leah McCourt have become the latest European fighters to sign on the dotted line with Bellator.

Bellator confirmed the signings to MMA Fighting Wednesday.

Queally (11-4-1) was on the verge of fighting for the Fight Nights Global lightweight title following a first round TKO of Russian fan favorite, David Khachatryan, in May.

“The Showstopper” is a mainstay in the camps of Irish superstar, Conor McGregor. Queally, an SBG fighter, was reportedly close to signing for the UFC ahead of UFC 202 when Tim Means was in need of an opponent.

McCourt (1-1-0) is a highly decorated amateur having claimed the 2016 IMMAF world championship and the 2015 IMMAF European championships at featherweight.

She had a baptism of fire in her professional debut last year when she was matched against Olympic judoka, Rizlen Zouak, suffering a second-round TKO loss. The Northern Irish fighter bounced back into the win column in June when she took a split decision win over another highly touted amateur, 2017 IMMAF world champion, Manon Fiorot.

Bellator has signed approximately 35 European fighters since July in an effort to build a roster for a newly created, localized agenda for the U.K., Ireland and Western Europe.
