
PHI CARLO PAALAM ONSLAUGHT TO THE GOLD MEDAL MATCH AGAINST GBR YAFAI AT TOKYO'S FLY WEIGHT DIVISION

All five Judges saw a Unanimous Decision in favor of Filipino pugilist Carlo Paalam in his just-finished duel against Japan’s Ryoemi Tanaka in the Men’s Flyweight Division for the Semi-Final first bout as Great Britain’s Galal Yafai displayed a dominant win over Kazakhstan’s Saken Bibossinov in the second Semi-final bout.
Rounds 1 and 2 were all scored at 10-9 for Paalam as 4 Judges saw a 10-9 for Paalam and a 10-9 for Tanaka in the last round while Yafai took the first round all in favor of him as Bibossinov took three of the five Judges in the 2nd round to win via a Split Decision.
Tanaka and Bibossinov settles for bronze as Paalam and Yafai will mettle it out at the Kokugikan Arena.
