Minutes after finishing his afternoon classes, Master Manuel Sanidad was rushed to the Benguet General Hospital on September 21 when he suddenly fell off his chair.
Sanidad has been one of the National Trainers of the Philippine National Kickboxing Team since its formation in early 2019. He likewise trained with the athletes for a few months in Benguet in the team’s preparations for the 30th South East Asian Games.
As pandemic hits the Sports industry, Master Sanidad decided to come back to the Cordilleras to share his kickboxing knowledge for free and also to keep up in his training techniques. He had been teaching at the Highland Boxing Stable since he is familiar with most of the athletes and coaches at the said gym.

Sanidad is one of the earliest members of the Malayan Martial Arts community.
Highland Stable owner Brico Santig said Sanidad is currently under the gym’s roof as they are locating his family and whereabouts.
“Some of our professional athletes are currently taking good care of him at the hospital, some athletes also volunteered to check on him once in a while. We are appealing to our comrades in sports, especially in the kickboxing community to extend our hands since Master Manny had been separated from his family for some time now and he needs our help” averred Santig.
His recent medical status shows he had progressive blood clotting in the middle of his cranium.

Sanidad had assisted Coach Mark Sangiao and other trainers in the prowl for supremacy at the recently held SEA Games.
According to Mr. Santig, Mr. Sanidad’s current situation is still critical as he is paralyzed and can only speak in a few slurred words.
For anyone willing to extend their hands to Master Manuel Sanidad, you can contact or send them to 220610164699 PNB Dante Bon-as with his number 09503302084 or through Miss Jennifer San Jose at 35333 53060555 Metro Bank.
