Phil Davis has an opponent for his upcoming fight at Penn State University.
The former Bellator light heavyweight champion is set to welcome undefeated Leo Leite to the promotion on Nov. 3, Bellator officials confirmed to MMA Fighting on Tuesday. Combate first reported the match-up as a possibility.
Davis (17-4, 1 no-contest) an NCAA wrestling champion at Penn State, looks to get back on track after suffering his first loss since joining Bellator. “Mr. Wonderful” went 4-0 in the promotion with wins over the likes of “King Mo” Lawal and Liam McGeary prior to his split decision defeat to Ryan Bader in June.
Leite (10-0) is a three-time Pan-American champion in judo who made a transition to MMA in 2013, capturing the Legacy FC middleweight and light heavyweight belts en route to a perfect record with 10 victories and six finishes.
Bellator 186 takes place at the Bryce Jordan Center and features Ryan Bader vs. Linton Vassellfor the 205-pound championship in the main event.
